The SOWETO CAREERS & SKILLS SUMMIT EXPO is South Africa's premier annual platform dedicated to connecting learners, graduates, and youth with employers, training institutions, SETAs, and government departments — all under one roof.
Now in its 15th year, the event has evolved into a powerful 3-day ecosystem: a Leadership Conference, a Career Day, and a Skills & Entrepreneurship Summit — each designed to serve a specific audience with targeted programming and real opportunities.
To eradicate youth unemployment by creating direct access to career guidance, skills training, and employment opportunities.

From a small community event to South Africa's most impactful youth careers & skills platform — a story of persistence, community, and transformation.
1st Annual Soweto Career Day
Launched with 5 exhibitors and 200 learners at a local community hall in Orlando, Soweto.
Expanded to 2 Days
Added a dedicated Skills Summit day, reaching 1,000+ youth annually across Soweto schools.
Government Partnership
Formal partnerships with the Department of Education and 3 SETAs, cementing national credibility.
COVID — Virtual Pivot
Successfully moved online during COVID-19, reaching 3,000+ youth digitally across South Africa.
Return to In-Person
The Expo returned in full force post-COVID — same community, same mission, stronger than ever.
